So in the instrument list it includes single tenors, but when I go into the mixer I don't see them?

I have had this plug-in since December of 2024 and since then I have seen countless BAD REVIEWS on many issues but none of those have happened to me. It's definitely user error from others lol. Yes you can change noteheads without having the sound changed if you do it right. You can edit what line or space of the staff you want it to be in. Edit and Save a drumset program for crying outloud. If you load the piece you are working on and it's weird just don't freak out and load your stuff correctly. lol. chill. If you want your sounds from this MUSE-VDL I think you have to be connected to the internet so that it can pull the sounds from MUSEHUB. If you aren't connected to the internet they probably(maybe) won't load. But it has worked for me on and off a network. People need to chill
Purchased Virtual Drumline but it is not making it available in MuseScore Mixer at all
They fixed the issues that they had made within the last couple of updates but something I've noticed is how muddy the quads are now. They claimed to have fixed the round robin but it seems like it has gotten worse especially on triplet roll passages. On top of that, the two spock drums sound virtually identical and the two shot notes only play one sound. Hope this gets resolved soon since a lot of other things had already been addressed.
Worked for the first week now the sounds wont load/arent recognized by musescore
bro my snare sounds weird now with double accents it don't sound good, what happened muse hub
The "improvements" that were made were obviously NOT improvements.
This is a must have if your getting the VDL percussion pack!
I don't notice most the issues everyone else seems to have - it has worked perfectly since I first bought it. Only issue I seem to notice is that battery is really quiet (like near inaudible at piano). Accents are really the only things that can be heard at lower dynamics. Other than that, this a great software!
This is way to buggy to even be released. You can't even change noteheads for things like cross sticks and shots. If you do, it defaults to a regular hit. This needs major improvement.
This is a must need for anyone writing for the marching arts! The recent updates helped a lot of the mapping and playback, and I'm sure that future updates will make it even better! One thing I've noticed is that (as of 9/11/24) buzz rolls don't play back when 'edge' is selected. It does when it's applied to a long duration note, but not when it's a short note (like a quarter or eighth). That's my only complaint, and beside that, this pack is fantastic!
(v0.9.3) FULLY READ BEFORE BUYING!! This is undoubtedly virtual drumline, but you're definitely only getting a $10 version of it... (click to expand the textbox) This ONLY includes the SnareLine, Solo Snare, TenorLine, Solo Tenors, BassLine, CymbalLine, Metronome, Vocals, Police Whistle and Drum Major instruments from the VDL library, and doesn't include any of the VDL Mallet or Concert Percussion instruments. But of the included battery instruments, nothing was skimped out on. By default, playback for sticking is AutoRL, but annotating notes with "r" or "l" using either the Lyric or Sticking text tools will tell the playback engine to use the Right and Left samples (MuseDrumline also does this). The Kontakt modwheel and keyswitch functionalities from VDL such as Snare playing geography/zones and alternative Bass/Tenor implements have also been moved to the instruments' MIDI maps and Sound Flags specified with the Staff Text tool. Biggest problem: MIDI Velocities. At any given dynamic level, accents have almost no effect at all. I know you can change a single note's velocity in the Properties menu, but I think that's unacceptable to expect the User to have to do that to every single accented note. When using VDL from the Kontakt VST, the accents are great. I even have a couple of videos on Youtube showing this exactly. Until this is fixed, I will still continue using the full version of VDL through my Kontakt VST when I need to generate audio of my battery writing, which is a shame, because the mappings don't translate nicely, and Musescore's version VDL is so much easier to use than Kontakt Videos showing accent playback MuseVDL - https://youtu.be/B9VmI347Vsc VDL (Kontakt) - https://youtu.be/gFbqLhIBozM (If you can't copy the links to a browser, search "simonfromband" on Youtube, and they're the two most recently uploaded videos on that channel)
Virtual Drumline sounds are amazing and I'm so happy that I don't have to pay a fortune to use them!
